Pseudonym and different illustrator

[edit]

This article doesn't currently address the two things that strike the reader as most notable about this book: the fact that Geisel used yet a different pseudonym, and the fact that he did not illustrate the book himself. Does anyone have any more information on these two aspects of the book? Robert K S 00:48, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fifth of November

[edit]

Curious. Where specifically does it say that the title is a reference to the Fifth of November? Peteresch 15:13, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Octember?

[edit]

"Octember" may not necessarily be a portmanteau as stated in the article. "septem" is Latin for "seven" and "octo" is latin for "eight", so, for someone unfamiliar with the history of our calendar, "Octember" would naturally follow from "September". This is not a portmanteau, since the word is not derived from "October" but rather, "octo". I'd like to see a reference supporting the portmanteau assertion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.113.22.50 (talk) 14:48, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
