Australian Term?

Canada Too

- I've also used it in the US. For a while some years ago the Boston Globe called its wine column "Plonk by the glass," not intending to be disrespectful but to signal a bargain. The American Heritage dictionary (on line) says the word is chiefly British but a quick search turns up several wine shops and wine bars in the US calling themselves Plonk.
