This should probably be mentioned in the article: Cape Verde is the only African country to get a perfect score in Freedom House's evaluation of political freedom. See Freedom in the World. Brutannica 21:43, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Generally, Cape Verde enjoys a stable democratic system. The elections have been considered free and fair, there is a free press, and the rule of law is respected by the State.

Then why is it in the top 25 in the Failed States Index for "Intervention of Other States or External Political Actors" ? --76.224.90.253 03:01, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Important notice

[edit]

The government section of the "Outline of Cape Verde" needs to be checked, corrected, and completed -- especially the subsections for the government branches.

When the country outlines were created, temporary data (that matched most of the countries but not all) was used to speed up the process. Those countries for which the temporary data does not match must be replaced with the correct information.

Please check that this country's outline is not in error.
