"Disputed"

The facts regarding the Judicial branch appear to be wrong; it's possible they were copied from the "Politics of the Bahamas" wiki.

Grenada: "The leader of the majority party serves as Prime Minister and head of government. The cabinet consists of members, including the Prime Minister and ministers of executive departments. They answer politically to the House of Assembly. The Governor General appoints the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court on the advice of the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition. The Governor General appoints the other justices with the advice of a judicial commission. The Privy Council of the United Kingdom serves as the highest appellate court."

Bahamas: "The leader of the majority party in parliament serves as prime minister and head of government. The cabinet consists of at least nine members, including the prime minister and ministers of executive departments. They answer politically to the lower House of Assembly.

The governor-general appoints the chief justice of the Supreme Court on the advice of the prime minister and leader of the opposition. Other justices are appointed on the advice of a judicial commission. The Privy Council in London serves as the highest appellate court for the Bahamas."

Sections bolded (for Grenada) appear to be wrong. Can someone please fix this? I don't have the time to try and correct this, but wanted to point it out so someone could take care of it. Thank you.

Important notice

[edit]

The government section of the "Outline of Grenada" needs to be checked, corrected, and completed -- especially the subsections for the government branches.

When the country outlines were created, temporary data (that matched most of the countries but not all) was used to speed up the process. Those countries for which the temporary data does not match must be replaced with the correct information.

Please check that this country's outline is not in error.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact The Transhumanist .

Thank you.

Grenada maintains appeals to the Privy Council. But I suggest that the wording be changed to "The Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in London serves as the highest appellate court."JohnC (talk) 07:53, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
