In-line citations tag

[edit]

@ABBAS K.CH: Hi there! Thanks for looking for sources for this article. Just thought I'd explain why I'm undoing your removal of tags on this article:

This article needs some in-line citations (i.e. small, numbered footnotes like this[1] that are placed after the text the reference is being used to support). Usually, this is displayed between <ref>...</ref> tags using the "cite web" template (e.g. {{cite web |url= |title= |author= |date= |website= |access-date=}}), but other styles are available (see here and here for more information). The tag is there to alert other editors to this.

Hopefully, this clarifies things for you. If you need any help, please ask! Have a good day, and have fun editing Wikipedia! —AFreshStart (talk) 09:23, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

References

  1. ^ Person, A (2024). "An inline citation". Example.com.

Yes you are right and this will be done soon and thank you very much for your attention. ABBAS K.CH (talk) 08:30, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. You know, because all the information was taken from the TRANSFERMARKT site, writing small footnotes was useless to me. So I decided to put a big footnote at the end of the article so that people who read this article can go to the TRANSFERMARKT site to make sure it's true. About his birth. well I do not know the exact date of birth (month & day) but I know he was 25 years old and he was born in 1997 (1375 in sun calender). ABBAS K.CH (talk) 06:20, 29 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That's understandable. I know Sir Sputnik has raised issued about Transfermarkt not being a reliable source by Wikipedia standards (I don't know enough to say whether it is or not), so a lot of the information will have to have better in-line citations.
Do you have any references for his birth year? If so, we can include that in this article, and put him in the 1997 births category. We don't need the exact month or day.
Thanks, and have fun editing! 👍 —AFreshStart (talk) 12:25, 29 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Because this player has been in the second and third levels of Iranian football for many years, not much information is available about his date of birth, but what we are 90% sure about. This player is about 25 years old and was born about in 1997. But for the sake of the same 10% for now, we should prefer to ignore this issue until the exact notice. Thank U 😉 ABBAS K.CH (talk) 08:38, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Jeeputer:Jeeputer user; You will be warned not to damage the article Like what you did in the Persian version, avoid it separately. Whatever you have in mind in connection with this article, right or wrong, first share it on the article discussion page and then take action. This action (damaging the articles) is against the explicit rules of Wikipedia. Thanks for your attention. ABBAS K.CH (talk) 11:11, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@ABBAS K.CH: It's not damaging and not against the Wikipedia standards. I'm just trying to understand what rule you are talking about. because Wikipedia is not a repository and excessive use of images on articles is discouraged. You keep adding those images some of which are duplicated (the one in the infobox). they are not in connection with any content in the article (some content are even unsourced) and i wonder if they are there just for decoration. keep in mind that not every article needs images, and too many can be distracting. decorative images will be removed from articles. resisting to follow Wikipedia styling guidelines is the reason for your current block on corresponding Persian article. please give a clear and logical reason (based on Wikipedia guidelines) for bringing back those images, or i will remove them again. because i have a good reason to do that. Jeeputer (talk) 00:56, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Everyone has their own perceptions, but unfortunately what we see of you here is a very biased perception. Unfortunately, you have just become a manager at WikiFa, and you think that you can do anything you like and insult anyone with any personal interpretation of the rules. Unfortunately, insufficient control over the behavior of people like you who have become a manager in Persian Wikipedia has led to this kind of biased and one-sided actions, as well as disrespect to the other party. Avoid a single-vote and read more about the rules, and I also recommend that you avoid distorting events. Wherever you want the source is included in this article but it is important to want to see this. Again, I tell you the rules; "The law explicitly states that there is no prohibition on using one or more media that help to understand the article and, most importantly, are relevant and useful to the article." I emphasize again do not distort the rules and do not abuse your position as a manager in Persian Wikipedia and do not turn Wikipedia into a place of bullying and domination. An administrator must respect all users and their opinions. Thanks ABBAS K.CH (talk) 06:41, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@ABBAS K.CH: My user rights in fawiki are irrelevant to enwiki. what i see here, is insisting to add images which don't give the reader extra understanding of the content. Are you referring to those images as sources? because you can't prove content by citing images (which can be professionally edited to show something wrong).
btw, half of your comment here consists of personal attacks towards me, and you should remove those attacks now (to show that you understand what you are doing wrong). Jeeputer (talk) 13:57, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@ABBAS K.CH: Don't remove the whole section please. you can strike through your comments (or remove them), but please don't remove my comments.
And, please answer my question: what is the purpose of those images? are they for decoration? or to prove something in the text? Jeeputer (talk) 21:03, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

look; To show readers these images are included in this article like other articles about players where photos of the teams in which they played are shown by these photos. Regarding the removal of this part of the conversation, I have to say that I tried to remove this discussion due to my good intentions, and instead create a more serious discussion with the general public, which avoids I hope I was able to express my meaning ABBAS K.CH (talk) 21:18, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@ABBAS K.CH: You can't prove anything by adding images to the article. i can create a photo showing myself in a Scuderia Ferrari racing suit, standing on the podium. and i promise you will believe that i am the champion! images can not prove anything. please remove that gallery as it just provides distraction to readers and you failed to provide a good reason for them being presented on the article. i will remove them myself in 24 hours. This discussion is very important, so leave a comment for all administrators and users of English Wikipedia who have information in this field by putting # at the beginning of your comment. Our discussion about the gallery included in this article has caused controversy. The question is, is including such a gallery for this article against Wikipedia rules?
