With regards to: "The double turn between them and Demolition was seen to many as the catalyst of their sudden loss of popularity and subsequent push down the card." Truth be told, the double turn was really a result of their loss of popularity rather than the catalyst. They were given that monster push in the fall of 88, but fans didn't really like them and cheered more for Demolition, so the WWF doubleturned both teams, partly because Demos were getting so many cheers, and partly because they were hoping it would reinvigorate the Powers of Pain.
