Hawaiian translation

Pu'uwai translates literally no-seed-water-island. More generally, it translates as "barren waters". Pu'u means barren as in pu'unene, the word for a nun, a "barren goose". Wai means waters as in Ha-wai-i, Big-Waters-Island. My Flatley (talk) 18:46, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
