take out Wikipatents?

[edit]

I may be a bit overly zealous, but I took out Wikipatents. After reviewing it, it doesn't appear to be used. Most of the forums have links to porn sites (not that there is anything wrong with that!) and even the "most active" entries have almost nothing in them. Nonetheless, feel free to overrule or show me the errors of my ways. --Nowa 19:16, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I took out Peer to patent online link since that appears to be redundant to the Peer to patent link above it.

I added in the Cambia patent lens since they are proposing providing annotation to existing patents in the future (which puts them on a par with Peer to Patent) and because it appears to be a legitimate site right now for patent information. --Nowa 19:26, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, there is also IP Patent Debate, but it doesn't appear as if anyone is using it.--Nowa 19:35, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I added Wikipatents back in after reading a short note in CNET on it. It is a genuine example of wiki patent commentary even if it appears to be somewhat abandoned and overgrown with weeds. It's also only been around since August of 06, so perhaps I was being a bit hasty in my earlier delete.--Nowa 02:14, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Third party observations in the US

[edit]

Is there a fee to be paid for filing such observation in the US? That could be interesting to add. Thanks for this nice collaboration. --Edcolins 00:19, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Likewise, great collaboration. The US fee is $180.--Nowa 02:37, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I see that third parties can submit prior art documentation for 6 (not just "2" as in the article) months after first publication of a patent application. See http://www.patentable.com/patent-prosecution-2-0-third-party-submissions-of-prior-art/ [1] for some sources of documentation, may not be sufficient as a reference "source" by itself. Also here is a link to the issue in uspto, could provide an update to the broken link on the subject by following: http://www.uspto.gov/aia_implementation/faqs-preissuance-submissions.jsp (Don't have my login info handy, sorry)64.126.59.199 (talk) 15:54, 21 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

References

AskPatents.com (aka Patents.StackExchange.com)

[edit]

Should Patents.StackExchange.com be mentioned in this article? Information regarding this is at blog.stackoverflow.com/2012/09/askpatents-com-a-stack-exchange-to-prevent-bad-patents and joelonsoftware.com/items/2013/07/22.html.

Seems like it has been mentioned in another page. That other page also has a lot of information that is not mentioned in this page. Looks like this page needs an update.--Pacerier (talk) 12:26, 10 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information about the service (web site) could be added indeed, if it is sufficiently notable. Feel free to add some information about the service, but please with suitable references to indicate its notability. Thanks. --Edcolins (talk) 20:12, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
