Frequent alteration of squad against the reference

[edit]

I'd like to emphasize, that Wikipedia is not a newspaper that has to report every change in the squad right in the moment when it was published in whatever source. There is a reference in the squad section, that links to the official website of the club, thus the official squad list. While there are a number of transfers during the off-season, many of them published in reliable sports papers, it must be understood that these transfer are not official, and not full (ie. while the incoming players are usually announced, the ones who leave are not; youngsters who were promoted from the youth teams are usually not covered in any news article as they are less-known and it happens "in the house",etc). Given these, referring to the squad as the 2014–15 team is completely wrong, and is more or less a guess from the news articles caught here and there. Therefore, I'd like to ask kindly, please, do not alter the squad list against the reference. When a new official squad list will come out, it can be easily updated. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not an online handball database that has to be up-to-date in every second. Thanks for understanding. — Thehoboclown (talk) 08:22, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on RK Krim. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Coaching history

[edit]

Hello. As all of us know, this article has a strong "guard" who delete every editing which he doesn't like. I just wanted to ask first of all, if I can write a part in this article which contains the coaching history of Krim Ljubljana. I don't want to work on it a lot, and it will be deleted, so that is why I asked it before. So what is your opinion about that? Thank you. --Betomi23 (talk) 08:28, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

All things that are deleted are deleted purely because its your personal original research and your opinions, you have no right to determine which players are "notable" to be included in "famous players" section and which are not without any objective criterias and inclusion criterias, end of the story. Snowflake91 (talk) 09:05, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, but now it was not a question. So won't you delete the coaching history? --Betomi23 (talk) 09:11, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

List of former coaches is fine, but good luck finding a sources for that, especially for pre-1991. Snowflake91 (talk) 09:14, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I will try to collect so many I can find a source for. If you know this team's history better, you can add coaches too. I think some sources we will find. Thank you :) --Betomi23 (talk) 11:36, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notable former players

[edit]

I'd like to create a new part of this article about the notable former players. You can find this on almost all of the articles of the handball clubs.

I know, earlier the "problem" was, its very subjective who is notable. The answer: the person who has a wiki site, that must be notable cause it should be deleted. This is a rule here. So the players, who has the wiki site, can be on this list.

I'd like to create this per position.

I think its a bad thing that for example this club had as line player Liudmila Bodnieva for a very long period, and you can't find her name on this site. And she is not the only one big player. This is not okay. Who read this site, can't see anything about the history although there played very big names.

But I don't want to creat this part "unnecessarily", if it will be deleted by "someone".

What do you think about this idea? Thank you. Pressburg10 (talk) 15:00, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

"The answer: the person who has a wiki site, that must be notable cause it should be deleted. This is a rule here. So the players, who has the wiki site, can be on this list." — of course it doesn't work like that, the criterias must be clear – for example, 100+ appearances for the club, being included in hall of fame, having at least 30+ international caps, being named MVP or team of the season of the champions league etc. etc., having Wikipedia article does NOT mean the players must be listed here under "notable players", unless you will list all 300+ former players of this club which all have Wiki article, if you won't then its again your subjective list of which players are worthy of being listed, and which are not. Snowflake91 (talk) 15:19, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Its your rules again. Is it a good think in your opinion, that there were so many good and big players there, and they are absolutely not mentioned here? Is it okay?
Its nowhere problem, only here and only because of you. Its not my sibjective list, because everyone can add players if its missing.
What is then the solution, to have something about the former players? Your idea? Pressburg10 (talk) 16:07, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe don't include "notable players" sections at all, if you cannot establish clear criterias and add sources? At Wikipedia:WikiProject Football it was decided that there should not be any "famous players" sections at football club articles, while for basketball there are also clear criterias at Template:Basketball notable players criteria, for example breaking a club record or playing in NBA. Handball doesn't have a big community so there are no consensus for that, but that doesn't mean you can just list some random players without any inclusion criteria. Snowflake91 (talk) 16:46, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
"there are no consensus for that" - yes, that means your opinion is equal (not more) to mine.
There are some articles where you can see it as "selected players" - that means players who played in a national team.
That is a clear criteria, because that means already a level of the player, and not subjective.
Its not a good thing the you alone decide something, which can't be on this article, because its not your site. We could do a voting about this!
don't you find it bad that the former very good players are missing in this article?
You can find nothing about tha history, past, big names of the club. What do you think about this? Pressburg10 (talk) 17:01, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Updated squad

[edit]

If we have nice sources for the movement of the players (leaving and joining players), why do we need extra source for the squad?

We exactly know who left and joined so we can updated the squad as for all of the teams. This is the only exception. Pressburg10 (talk) 18:10, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Because we are not a newspaper for live transfers, we will update the squad when the official 2024-25 squad is announced either by the club or the EHF, and those announced transfers are only for "important" players, there are also other changes like youth players being promoted etc. Snowflake91 (talk) 18:15, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Very weak explanation. Its not a newspaper question. Pressburg10 (talk) 17:46, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
