He does not have any gret grand nephew of this name.I have checked with the University of Patna

That incidentally is a different doctor.Ashoka Jahnavi-Prasad incidentally has never worked in Australia.University of Patna would confirm that Ashoka Jahnavi-Prasad incidentally is Grandson of Rajendra Prasad's son Mrityunjaya Prasad.(Rajendra Vanshavali by Pt.Vishnukant Jha and personal communication with Prof.Tara Sinha,Professor of English Magadh Mahila College Patna University).By the way GMC has confirmed that Ashoka Jahnavi-Prasad was never registered with them. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=6438650&dopt=Citation.This reference is about the valproate work.

I have removed the internal links that someone put in the external links section... --131.111.229.48 20:43, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think you have got it wrong-there are two different people. Please look up this very talk page.(Vr 07:32, 5 September 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Please look up the membership list of American Academy of Arts and Sciences under Prasad,Ashoka Jahnavi.Clearly you are looking at a different person.Ther appears to have been some earlier confusion as this page suggests(Vr 07:46, 5 September 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Ashoka Prasad / Ashoka Jahnavi-Prasad

[edit]

It seems most people are barking up a wrong tree. I have just discovered this link. [1]

I agree this sounds confusing. But clearly that man was making wild claims. You may know that membership od American Academy of Arts and Sciences is a very elaborate process and this man seems to have been elected in 1972-much before the episode in Australia began.I think that man was using the conicidenc of teh similarity in names.(Vr 04:40, 8 September 2006 (UTC)) Is there a reference for the Bhagwati Devi episode(Vr 13:50, 16 September 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Who is "Rajendrababu"?

[edit]

I am deleting the word "Rajendrababu" as it appears only once, presumably refering to Rajendra Prasad. If it must be retained, it must be clearly explained somewhere that "Rajendra Prasad" and "Rajendrababu" are the same person. Until such time, I am replacing it with "he".

Page needs serious work

[edit]

I fixed up the grammar and wording to make the article sound more encyclopediac, but the previous editor seems to have copied a biography in its entirety from here- http://www.indianpoliticians.com/profile/1/. Considering his role in the independence movement, and as the first president of India, even with the largely ceremonial role that is, there should be more relevant information. At the moment it seems to be a lot of information about his education and commitment to the movement. MercZ (talk) 08:36, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Name needs editing

[edit]

I think his name is Dr. Rajendra Prasad, isn't it? I'm not very sure but... he's called that everywhere else I've read about him. I think it should be changed.Yashowardhani (talk) 05:51, 2 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

India Today article in references copied this article

[edit]

Rajendra Prasad:First President of India, "INDIA TODAY". Indiatoday.intoday.in (5 July 2012) seems to clearly copy this article. I removed it from the references. In the report it copies "...he was an active member of The Dawn Society.[3] It was due..." which is clearly identical to this page with even the reference number which they forgot to remove.

Please be careful while using news reports about important historical figures. -Ugog Nizdast (talk) 10:09, 28 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
