Washington's associations as a jazz musician are legion, and he is listed in at least one standard jazz encyclopedia, which also includes citations to a few other articles about him. I'm rather flummoxed as to why this got tagged in the first place; credible claims to notability are quite clear and the article is not unreferenced. --Chubbles (talk) 01:32, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
