I am SUNY student that is editing this article as a CELL BIO class project. I am looking for suggestions for additional contributions as well as review of the present material. Any help and collaboration is welcomed! Burgjane15 (talk) 19:45, 18 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestions:

I reorganized the page a little bit since, the page already had valid examples of Ribonuclease 3 (RNase 3). I focused on adding more information on one of the class types of RNase 3. I was working with one of my classmate, Burgjane15 and she was also editing on one of the class types of RNase. I added more information on class 3 RNase 3.

Originally, the following information was on the Article,

"Class 3 RNases III include the Dicer family of enzymes known to function in RNA interference (RNAi)."

And I added few more information,

"Class III Rinases are S-Rnases components. It is a component of the self-incompatibility system in Rosaceae, Solanaceae, and Plantaginaceae. They are recruited to cope with various environmental stress scenarios.[13] Dicer enzymes process dsRNA subtrates into small RNA fragments of individual size ranging from 21-27 nucleotides in length.[14] Dicer has an N-terminal helicase/ATPase domain which is followed by another domain of an unknown function. It is centrally positioned PAZ domain and a C-terminal configuration which includes one dsRBD and two RNase III catalytic domains.[15] Interactions of Dicer occurs with other proteins, which includes TRBP, PACT, and Ago2.[16] RNAs that are produced by Dicer act as guides for a sequence of particular silencing of cognate genes through RNAi and related pathways.[14]

I felt that the information given prior to my addition was very helpful but at the same time, broad. Adding few more information about the Dicer enzymes will help readers grasp more information. For example, how the Dicer enzyme process dsRNA substrates into small RNA fragments to how interactions occur in Dicer. Beside some more facts that can be added on each class types, the article was well detailed and explanatory for a reader to understand about Ribonuclease 3.
