Major removal on the horizon

[edit]

There's a lot of unsourced controversy in this article. I've already snipped the most egregious example but more stuff will be coming out if sources are not cited soon. —Wknight94 (talk) 14:28, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No response. It's back to a stub. —Wknight94 (talk) 21:34, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Restored much of the info Kerry King information is available at link supplied and Roadrunner United information is present in the notes and credits of the album itself. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 220.240.217.248 (talkcontribs) .

Those links need to be added to the article or else the information cannot stay. Read WP:BLP for more info. Even the link provided for the Kerry King info doesn't mention anything about Kerry King. —Wknight94 (talk) 00:48, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Adoption

[edit]

The following need revised or removed: -

Because of this, he deeply loves his adoptive parents.

If you're adopted from birth/a very young age, you know no other parents and therefore will deeply love your adoptive parents - regardless of why you were adopted. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Selphie (talkcontribs) 06:52, 14 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Religion

[edit]

Does anyone know what religion Robb is? This would be something I would like to hear. Some people say athiest and some say Christian. Please someone find this out.

He is most obviously an athiest, listen to halo —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.158.89.86 (talk) 20:46, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is something good to Google. I'll give it a shot and see what I can find. Dark Executioner (talk) 11:49, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough he is an atheist and that should be included, but could someone please insert it a little more seemlessly rather than sticking 'He is an atheist' at the end there? lol EchetusXe (talk) 12:19, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How can this person state for a fact that Rob Flynn is an athiest soely based on the lyrics he wrote in the song Halo? The song attacks Christianity sure enough (why he put Christian and the word conspiracy together is quite baffling to anyone with any intelligence) but, he could be Jewish. Unfortunately, many Jewish people still today do not like Christians. From the video of Halo one may conclude that he has a problem with Catholics in particular or perhaps organized religion of any sort. He seems far too intelligent to disbelieve in God at all - would he risk the souls of his children - but more importantly - it really is no one's business what religion he chooses to be. As fantastic as the song Halo is, he made a huge mistake when writing its lyrics when he offended and totally insulted thousands of his Christian and Catholic fans; however, I believe he has publically admitted his error and attempted to apologize in the song the Darkness Within.

Background?

[edit]

Does anyone know anything about his background or possible sources? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Matt head16 (talkcontribs) 11:18, 9 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He has a wife and two sons. It says so in the lyric booklet for The Blackening. As soon as I can remember the source, I will put in the article on how he suffered from bullimia and drug and alcohol abuse in 1998 following Logan Mader's departure. Dark Executioner (talk) 11:47, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

His real name is Conrad Robert Flynn, when you look at Machine Head copyrights they clearly state that can every please stop removing his real first name when I put it up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by J-Vizzle (talkcontribs) 19:56, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Role as guitarist

[edit]

I think there's some clarification needed regarding Robb Flynn's role as Machine Head's guitarist. Phil Demmel is their lead guitarist and does play a lot of Machine Head's solos, but Robb also plays a lot of Machine Head's guitar solos, too. This is especially true on The Blackening, the band's latest album. Mr. Brain (talk) 20:52, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
