Note for All Who Decide to Edit This

[edit]

For all members and non-members who decide to edit this page, I would like to ask that you first put the changes by me, Dave. Unless you are currently attending OR teaching at the school (or have an extensive knowledge of the school), DO NOT CHANGE THIS PAGE. I am sick and tired of having to go and undo all the stupid changes that people make. Thanks. Kalarn (talk) 12:43, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ignoring the fact that is not how Wikipedia functions, I can assure you that the majority of vandalism is done by people who do attend the school. Sherurcij (speaker for the dead) 13:17, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Joshua Boyle was cleared of all 19 charges and it seems deliberately disingenuous to include the charges in the wiki article for his high school and omit the fact that he was found not guilty https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/dec/19/joshua-boyle-trial-charges-cleared-caitlan-coleman

I do know how Wikipedia works, I am not an idiot. The problem is that we get people from outside of the school coming in an trying to make pointless changes. At least this way, we can know that the changes are coming from a direct source. And on another note, how are you so sure that it is the students from Rockway are the ones vandalising this page?

Kalarn (talk) 16:25, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Because I recognise them, from time to time. Btw, if Peter Etril Snider was alumni, he'd be notable - and can you please take a photo of the exterior from the bottom of the hill for the article? Sherurcij (speaker for the dead) 05:18, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Got the picture. :D Kalarn (talk) 13:37, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Looks great, how about a photograph of E/S (one from years past would be good, like delve 10-20 years into the past, to have some variety?), Schlegel's jersey hanging in front of the gym (if it's still there? Would be nice to put in his own article), and maybe a sexy colourful photo from inside the silo? Sherurcij (speaker for the dead) 00:52, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well I'll have to be in school to get some of those. Most I should be able to get from http://pictures.rockway.ca/ but the Jersey is definately not hanging in front of the gym anymore. So wait... who am I talking to? Kalarn (talk) 01:25, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The better question is which "Dave" thinks he runs things enough at RMC to speak for them ;) Terry, Barry, Dennis...I could even allow Mike or Afro...but wait, I'm giving you hints as to my era! And be careful, the photos on pictures.rockway.ca are copyrighted - we need photos where the photographer explicitly agrees to release them into the Creative Commons or Public Domain. Sherurcij (speaker for the dead) 01:37, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
... You do know it's now Dennis, Barry and Moyer? And for all you know, I'm Dave Dirks. (Which I'm obviously not, but lets not go there). Kalarn (talk) 20:04, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Moyer?!? Sherurcij (speaker for the dead) 23:57, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of db-nonsense tag

[edit]

First version of this article was nonsense. Because school articles aren't usually deleted, I've removed the speedy tag and turned it into a school stub (I know nothing about the place). Matt Eason 18:13, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Anybody got a reference for Carl Zehr attending the school, I'd never heard that. On the other hand, who's that Team Canada hockey player whose jersey hangs/hung in front of the gym? Brad something? Sherurcij (Speaker for the Dead) 20:39, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
