Best known for Dirty Dancing 2?

[edit]

The film was a critical and commercial failure. It may appear to be her "biggest" film so far, but she doesn't even talk enthusiastically about the project, so should this be changed?

Well, it's written from the world's point of view, not hers. But, if you have an interview citation, you can write in a little part about her disliking of her role. Vulturell 04:13, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hm, i was thinking more whether it was acceptable to infer from, for example, a rotten tomatoes review, what an actors most sucessful film is. I mean, for Dirty Dancing 2 she's probably disliked/ridiculed by a larger number of people, just cos more people saw it, than she received praise for I capture the castle, which was particularly well received. Anyway, the fact is she's not particularly well known. Even where's she's had leads the promotion hasn't been too extensive, so it seems a bit of a moot point to mention what she's best known for. Perhaps a generally summary of her career development would be better?
Go for it. It's not big deal really, I'm sure you can come up with something balanced. Vulturell 02:41, 12 February 2006 (UTC

I don't think I've ever seen a Wikipedia article with some many external links in the body of the text. It seems odd when so many of the topics have articles on wikipedia? Opinions? 11:19, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

Birthdate

[edit]

"Romola Sadie Garai (born 6 August 1982)"
Is that correct? In IMDb and [1] it says July 1st.

Thanks - 1 July looks right- now amended. --mervyn (talk) 17:22, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

Hi, i removed link to Sam Hoare, as its the wrong guy of the same name (a rugby player from halifax not an actor).

Also, this sentance

"She moved to Singapore at five, before her family returned to Wiltshire in England when she was eight." is a little confusing as there is no mention of her coming back to england after being born in Hongkong. It's also not refrenced at all. Anyone wko knows a) when she came back to uk and b) has a link to her moving to singapore, could you add it

Pronunciation of her last name "Garai"

[edit]

The phonetic rendition of her last name is incorrect. The first syllable should be "a" as in "uh" ( a schwa); the second syllable "rai" is a diphthong with both vowels sounded as in "aye".
