Dame Rosanna?

[edit]

As Wong had been a member of the Executive Council of the Hong Kong SAR, she must had renounced all of her non-Chinese nationalities before taking up the job. As she is neither a British national nor a Commonwealth citizen, she should not be eligible to use the title 'Dame'.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Douglas the Comeback Kid (talkcontribs) 21:06, 12 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

She received her damehood when she was still a British national. The damehood was not an honorary one. A Dame who gives up her British nationality afterwards can still retain her substantive damehood along with the title Dame. --Clithering (talk) 10:28, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
