Conflict of interest
[edit]Page has been edited by multiple IPs which Geolocate to Round Rock, and which have added multiple promotional descriptions taken from the District's website as well as External Links in the bodytext. Arjayay (talk) 13:45, 8 March 2020 (UTC)
Request for monitoring
[edit]Moderators may wish to watch / protect this page. A coordinated group of Round Rock / Williamson County residents have begun an organized campaign (which has been tacitly endorsed by two embattled trustees) to spread spurious and unsubstantiated rumors about Round Rock ISD staff and parents as well as to intimidate their political critics.
These individuals have a very clear agenda in their edits on this page, which appears to be to spread slanderous and unsubstantiated rumors, as well as to boost the political profiles of two trustees who adhere to fringe ideologies.
Note that this is the only action that this IP address has made - on any article - and it has done so without logging into a Wikipedia user account (presumably in order to attempt to maintain anonymity). However, given the content that was added, and the scope of the change, it is presumable that the editor was a member of that community. The only edit in a similar vein was also from a similar AT&T U-Verse IPv6 address at 0159 CST on 28 January 2021. This address also geolocates to the Round Rock area.
Given the scope of attention that the New York Post article has drawn to their actions, it may be prudent to temporarily protect the page from edits from sources originating in or around Texas (or simply alerting a moderator that changes have been made and requesting approval before publishing).
