To R.Srinivasaraaghavan : I checked Sriraman's obituary in Indian Cricket 1993 and it has his place of birth at Hosur. It is possible that Indian Cricket is wrong but it would be helpful if you could also point us to a definite source (like the obituary in The Hindu). At the moment, I am leaving the article as it.
