Doing pretty well. Been a roughish year, but... As I said, it's not a perfect image, but File:Agence Rol - Le croiseur allemand SMS Friedrich Karl.jpg will probably do. Causes of casualties

So why did '7 or 8 men die in the sinking'? If the crew in general was evacuated, why weren't these people evacuated? If the sources explain that, it shouldn't be omitted. 62.73.72.3 (talk) 20:32, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not covered in the sources, but a mine exploding next to your ship frequently isn't great for your health. I'd assume they were killed then. Parsecboy (talk) 21:13, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

That would make sense, but the wording in the article definitely creates a different impression, because it notes the deaths after referring to a relatively long period between the explosion and the actual sinking, and associates the deaths with the sinking, not with the explosion. In this way, it appears that they died later, when the ship sank, and not when the explosion happened.--62.73.72.3 (talk) 12:25, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
