Rewrote big time

[edit]

Saber Marionette J to X (セイバーマリオネット J to X) is the last part of the "Saber Marionette" saga, that occurs months after Saber Marionette J Again. Like the others it was created by Satoru Akahori (赤堀悟, あかほりさとる). It was trasmitted originally in Japan since October 6, 1998 to August 25, 1999. It is licenced by Bandai Visual.

The drawing style is different in a way from Saber Marionette J. The first 12 episodes takes place in Japoness and the second half in Xian. Despite that the history occurs lightly, later the resurge of Gartland is told, its army and the reappear of evil Faust and his marionettes Tiger, Lynx and Panther, and of the dark doctor Hess. Also Lorelai was kidnapped by them to seek the information about the location of Japonesgar. However, Lime, Cherry, and Bloodberry finds out that the evil Faust they encounter was not the "real" Faust. The evil one was a clone of the real Faust of when Hess was still working for him during SMJ. The real Faust, Otaru, Cherry, Luchs repair and use the Japonesgar to destroy the evil clone while Tiger, Panther, Bloodberry, and Lime save Lorelai. After their battle with evil Faust of which they all thought would be the last battle on Terra II, Otaru wins a trip to Xian. Otaru gets sick and Lime, Cherry, and Bloodberry go out to seek the only cure of which the mysterious doctor told them was for Otaru's sickness. Right when Lime finds it, all three marionettes get kidnapped and fall into Hess's hands. By accident, Hess ends up making them lose their memory and send them out into the streets. Meanwhile, Otaru and Hanagata goes out to find the marionettes when they realize that for some reason, Otaru was the number one wanted person in Xian for the accusation of being a dangerous terrorist. Otaru and Hanagata cautiously look around more when Otaru sees Lime. However, because of her memory loss, Lime doesn't recognize Otaru and keeps on walking. Later, Otaru learns that all three lost their memories and are living a happy life. Lime worked as a happy and lovable nurse whom everyone adored, Cherry worked at an orphange where a boy named Raven had a secret crush on her, and Bloodberry at first got dragged into a gang and worked as a slave for them but was shortly rescued by the members of a circus who she met previous episodes during the Japoness days. During these days, Lime, Cherry, and Bloodberry gradually express their desire to become humans.

Hess needed the marionettes' memories to use for a project so he orders his sabers to torture Otaru in front of them to give them enough trauma so the needed spark would make them regain their memories. Sure enough, their memories flooded back to them at the same time as they watched Otaru fighting to protect them and being beaten. They save Otaru and destroy the sabers. Although Otaru learned that his marionettes regained their memories, he lost all of his confidence to make his marionettes happy, after seeing their happy faces of when their were living on their own. He leaves them and tries to go back on the train to Japoness when Faust and his marionettes stop him. They tell him that Terra II is not at total peace yet and tells him about Hess's plan.

In a dream, Lime, Cherry, and Bloodberry encounter Hess telling them that he could make them human if they would cooperate with him. Lime thinks about this seriously and meets with Hess. Right when Lime was about to go into the machine so Hess could scan her body for the information he needed, Bloodberry and Cherry run in and tries to persuade her to stay how she is. Lime refuses and tells them that she hated how she was a marionette and couldn't feel the same pain as humans. She also believed that the reason why Otaru left them was because he was human and they were marionettes. Bloodberry destroys the scanner machine and right when Lime was furious with her, Hess thanks them for the information he had gathered from all three of them. Cherry realizes that the whole room they were in was a giant scanner. Hess reveals that he was actually 400 years old and was indeed the first human on Terra II. He made his body a machine except for his brain. He came from the planet Earth on the Frontier, and Hess was the only one who landed on Terra II. His friends that were also on the Frontier promised him that they would go save him, but Hess waited, and waited but they never came, thus convinced that they betrayed him and just left him in the rural planet of Terra II. He grew hatred and wanted vegenance by making a ship with an enormous nuclear bomb, called Neo Mesapotamia to blow up Earth. To do this, he needs to go through the Worm Hole, a path leading from the solar system of which Terra II is in to the solar system of Earth is in. Knowing his time left was short, he desperately needed the information of the worm hole. The only on who had the information of the location of the worm hole was Mesapotamia, or Lime, Cherry, Bloodberry who has access to the Mesopotamia.

Lime, Cherry, and Bloodberry jump on to the ship with him, determined to stop Hess's plan. They battle with Hess's saber and win. After they got out of the wormhole, they find them selves right next to Saturn and for a short amount of time, the ships stops moving. To their left, they all see a frozen and wrecked Frontier. Hess finds this impossible when Cherry explains to him that as soon as the Frontier got out of the wormhole, it was frozen by the temperature of Saturn, so they couldn't go back to Terra II or Earth. Hess still found it unbelievable and went insane when he lost all of his power and started to die. He then said he finally realized what the three marionettes were, and said that they were rays of light. (hikari)He also mumbled that he would take them back to their homeland and in the background behind the marionettes who were crowded around Hess, there were three screens with three different data running, one in turquoise, one in pink, and the other in red. Hess died after he said those words and the marionettes had one last mission, which was to take the ship away from both solar systems and let it explode where it won't make any impact on either of them. They only had three minutes and took the ship into the worm hole. After they say their last words, the ship explodes, gradually making the worm hole shrink. When everyone believed at that moment that the marionettes died, Faust's marionettes and Lorelei feel something that they think are Lime, Cherry and Bloodberry, and they see three light rays reach a mountain where find 3 human babies. Lorelei finds a hopeless Otaru and tells him to go see what was found, and he finds the three marionettes turned into human babies and embraced Lime with tears in his eyes.

3 years later, you can see Hanagata writing a novel about Otaru's life with the marionettes until a 3 year-old Bloodberry appears annoying him, then appears Lime with Otaru and the Cherry, both three years old, also a not-so-older Otaru. Peace returned to planet Terra II, Otaru became obiously Lime, Cherry and Bloodberry's father, Faust went to research the planet but before that tells each of his sable marionettes to find another lifestyle, Hanagata became a song writer and director and Panther his new editor, Luchs became a happy reporter, and Tiger travels to find out more about herself. So everyone lived happy forever and ever...

I felt this long text was a little bit over-the-top for an encyclopedic article, while it was arguably zealous, I think it placed too heavy emphasis on the storyline from beginning to end, and reveals too much detail, it's basically the gist of the story. It was also completely unedited. If there is anything in it you all think would be good to be included, here it is to use. While I may not be an expert when it comes to evaluating visual styles, I pretty much think it remains largely unchanged, the same drawing style maybe in 1/2 and a little more vibrant coloring. Somebody well-versed please extend the article about these changes.

In what way? Please contribute. Somebody please review and correct what I wrote, and an image would be nice too. I couldn't provide network information. Gangerli 01:16, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
