This article could use further expansion on Shanghala's work at every stage of his political career:

at the LRDC, he was involved in drafting the controversial constitutional amendments. His other initiatives should also receive mention however, as it seems to have been a fairly productive tenure.
During his tenure as AG, there was a scandal over large fees being paid to a UK-based lawyer Who was hired again later
As Justice Minister he introduced a bill to repeal many apartheid-era laws.
