Sonic Team
Hello. There was a recent situation regarding the development teams. In the Dualshockers source and the Siliconera source, both sources state the CS2 division is also known as Sonic Team and has been known by that since 2010 according to this source. During development, the Sakura Wars team (i.e. CS3) was folded into that division. While the first trailer hasn't mentioned Sonic Team yet, I think it will when further trailers or the game is released itself. Rather than edit war over this, I'm opening a discussion on the matter here. Should we still mention Sonic Team? Thanks, Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 19:09, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
- I mean, if sources say Sonic Team is developing the game, shouldn't we? Alaios' edit seems WP:SYNTHy to me. JOEBRO64 19:21, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
- There is one thing according to this source: Shun Nakamura confirmed that the core Sakura Wars and Valkyria Chronicles development team was incorporated into Sonic Team (aka CS2), so I think we should mention Sonic Team's name as well. - As far as the sources can tell us, it's being developed by Sonic Team. So I don't see any reason for objecting to it being linked and cited. Let's remember; Sonic Team's developed more than Sonic, but other than specific Sonic games their name hasn't been attached to projects via trailers. If this changes in later news and interviews, it can change. Otherwise, we should leave it as is. --ProtoDrake (talk) 19:36, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
- I think we’re handling it correctly - Sonic Team in the infobox, and a more detailed explanation on the article’s prose. That’s how these things are usually handled. Sergecross73 msg me 15:03, 21 April 2019 (UTC)
