In Yucatec maya, the singular for this dish is sáal buutʼ and the plural is sáal buut' oob
In Yucatec Spanish, the singular is Salbut and plural Salbutes, because the plural from maya origined words that end in vowel is always expressed with an ES, like in Pib, PibES or Joroch, JorochES.
Salbute is NOT a singular in any idiom, including english (because the word doesn't exist in this language).
