request to edit to add medicinal value
Specific text to be added or removed: Salvia d. could have other potential medicinal value as an antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory. Reason for the change: not mentioned and should be. References supporting change: https://www.mdpi.com/1424-8247/14/2/116 Weavingowl (talk) 21:48, 24 April 2023 (UTC)
- Although a review of various properties of S. divinorum, the studies covered were preliminary from lab animal research, in vitro experiments, or poor-quality human studies. Further, the review was published in an MDPI journal suspected of predatory publishing. It's a dubious, unacceptable source to suggest "medicinal value". Zefr (talk) 02:33, 25 April 2023 (UTC)
I suggest removing the Hoffman quote
His translation of "divinorum" is wrong and misleading. Salvia divinorum does not mean "sage of the ghosts" it means "sage of the divine"
"divinorum" means "divine".
