A lot of this portion seems to be needlessly speculative and generalizing. Perhaps it should be rewritten to omit such instances? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.82.130.163 (talk) 04:51, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This Entire Article

[edit]

reads like a commercial travelogue. I'm wondering if it wasn't plaigerised from another website.--Lyricmac (talk) 19:56, 31 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I found the answer: http://reference.findtarget.com/search/San%20Juan%20de%20los%20Lagos/ The article was copied word-for-word from this commercial website.--Lyricmac (talk) 20:01, 31 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, the article does have problems, with a capital P. But the location is notable and the article needs to be fixed. The Our Lady of San Juan de los Lagos item is notable in itself. I will make a New Year resolution to work on it.. wink.. History2007 (talk) 22:13, 31 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, maybe the Spanish article on Wikipedia can be the basis for the fix. History2007 (talk) 02:04, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I doubt it-the Spanish article is effectively no more than a short stub, and the last paragraph looks as if it may have been copied from another source. Still, let me see if it can be fleshed out a bit.--Lyricmac (talk) 15:04, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
If the article contains material that violates copyright as per WP:COPYVIO, the article really needs to be fixed immediately, in one of the ways indicated. In this case, maybe, the best option would be to reduce the content of the article in such a way as it no longer constitutes a copyright violation, and to seek additional sources which could be used to redevelop the article. I can try to find at least a few such sources myself in the next few days. But the matter of the potential copyright infringement really should be addressed as soon as possible. I went ahead and adapted the copy for sp:wikipedia to re-write the article but more information is needed and also documentation.--Lyricmac (talk) 03:04, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
