Too hard to find and I was unsuccessful. "Scheveningen" is supposedly extra-difficult for non-Netherlanders to pronounce correctly. --Wfaxon 14:22, 6 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The audio file seems to be truncated at the beginning.

The audio file is silent. February 1st, 2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.100.222.109 (talk) 01:09, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Intro

[edit]

The following introductional sentence might be more informative and encyclopedic than the present one:

Scheveningen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈsxeːvənɪŋə(n)] ) is a small coastal town and former independant municipality in the Netherlands. By now it's no longer independant, but one of the eight districts of The Hague, as well as a subdistrict (wijk) of that town. VKing (talk) 02:13, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The spelling is independent, it might be useful to wikilink the Netherlands, and it would be better style to write it is instead of it's. Otherwise it's fine with me. Generally, you can do such small changes without asking.—Emil J. 07:27, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There is little evidence in the introduction about where this is. You and I know that the Hague is in the Netherlands, but it is the requirement of an encyclopedia to at least note this in the introduction. Betaben (talk) 02:44, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Images

[edit]

The Manual of Style recommends images not bracket the text. Images are preferred to be placed on the right, but can be placed to the left, however one should not have text trapped between two images. See MOS:IMGLOC.

Perhaps we could run a gallery at the bottom of the page to relieve some of the overcrowding. Gunbirddriver (talk) 01:26, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
