[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Scott (name). Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20140219175106/http://babynamesworld.parentsconnect.com:80/meaning_of_Scott.html to http://babynamesworld.parentsconnect.com/meaning_of_Scott.html
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

Scott as an anglicized German surname.
[edit]Scott, according to the New York Passenger list was recorded as being the surname of 67 German immigrants.[1] Whether or not the surname was acquired upon arrival in the US is not mentioned. Also, the Jewish-English jazz musician Ronnie Scott used the surname 'Scott' as an anglicized variant of his family's original surname 'Schatt'. His family were originally Russian however, not German.
- You would need a (reliable) source that actually states that since we are not allowed to use original research.- MrX 00:41, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
