Now, don't get me wrong, I hate Senior Project as much as the next guy, but I still think this article seems too biased for an encyclopedia article. I'll edit it later when I get the chance.--Sol Kiske 07:39, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
Reply to above: No way, I think the article is perfect. The Senior Project is a complete waste of time. Seniors should be focusing on other things, like graduating and finding a college. An unnecessary project will just get in the way of that. -Brenna —Preceding unsigned comment added by 159.182.1.4 (talk) 00:44, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
Nonetheless, the Article must remain unbiased
I think that the senior project is like telling our kids that 13 years years of their life was for nothing and that 13 years of academics were for nothing. The senior project is like saying to your child, Your 4.0 GPA is nothing, just one project was all we really care about, do your 45 hours of community service and we will give you a diploma. It is just WRONG, and there is no two ways about it. What our children do when they leave school, and 10 years down the road, should be their business and if the teachers have done their jobs then the kids should be properly educated and this project is mute anyway. "It is heavily influenced at Shenandoah Valley Governor's School (SVGS) in Virginia, and it stinks..." = removed. I hate the project too, but this is not an opinion article. --24.21.225.197 (talk) 20:37, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
Cleanup
[edit]Hi. I think the article is an unprofessional mess. I decided to be bold and cleared out the "How it Works" section. If everyone else approves, I'll do a bit more editing. -- 72.235.90.219 (talk) 05:16, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
Temp: Magazine and nonsense removal
[edit]I think the article doesn't meet the writing criteria. I have added the template "magazine". And removed the nonsense very first part of the introduction:
- ' ** The description below seems narrow and specific to a particular school or at least a specific approach. The idea of a Senior Project in high school has many, many incarnations; not all are like the description below. **'

Criticisms Removed
[edit]It looks like a short while back someone deleted the entire section on criticisms of the senior project without discussion. Could someone please return it to bring back balance to the page? I'm hesitant to do so myself since I don't have a Wikipedia account. -TommyTownshend
