Tone, POV
[edit]The paragraph beginning 'Although it was extremely secret..." has numerous issues related to POV, encyclopedic tone, formatting, punctuation, etc. I made a number of changes but these were mostly to do with formatting...can't address anything factual at the moment but it could also use some citations. There are also a number of weasely phrases that aren't substantiated ("almost certainly", etc.) PurpleChez (talk) 20:10, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
Why?
[edit]Why does the link for I’m A Fool To Care redirect to this Ringo Staff album? The song is but one of twelve tunes on the album. The album is a secondary source - the primary being the actual song written by Ted Daffan. 81.110.17.120 (talk) 18:09, 2 November 2013 (UTC)
A First Perhaps?
[edit]I am a little surprised that neither the Wikipedia article nor the one in Allmusic refers to this being one of the first albums of standards recorded by any pop music artist, maybe the very first. I certainly cannot think of another one. Dozens have been released since this one, by everyone from Linda Ronstadt to Rod Stewart to Willie Nelson to Cyndi Lauper. This is not the best of them by a long shot, but it sure got the ball rolling. And by the way, way too much is made of how Ringo can't sing. I hadn't realized until I read this article that "It Don't Come Easy" was recorded in the same time period; that is one of the best solo singles by any of the Beatles for my money.
