King Speech on Boycott of South Africa

[edit]

I'm doing a research piece on Leon Bibb. I found a description of an event he was master of ceremonies for in NYC on 12/10/1965. Among the speakers at the Hunters College in NYC was MLK. I came here to cross check and was surprised it was not listed. I found a number of newspaper reports on the speech, including this https://www.newspapers.com/clip/90900586/mlk-martin-luther-king-jr-proposes-boyc/ Based on https://kinginstitute.stanford.edu/encyclopedia/apartheid this was King's "Let My People Go" speech.

I propose to add it to this page unless others don't think it qualifies. Cathcam (talk) 01:07, 21 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This was added today, 17th January 2022 with citations and an online link to the speech. Am I supposed to delete these notes now?Cathcam (talk) 22:09, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Re-naming this article?

[edit]

I propose changing the name of this article to Sermons and speeches of Martin Luther King, Jr.. If not, why not? --Tenmei (talk) 18:25, 13 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That seems like a good suggestion. — Malik Shabazz (talk · contribs) 04:41, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
