I agree, service mesh is a very important topic for cloud computing security. Probably a drawing where a pod has 2 containers, one is the microservice, the other is being the proxy sidecar, and the ingress message entering the pod reaches the sidecar first, then the microservice, and the egress message likewise, could make the article easier to understand.
