Frustrating

[edit]

A remarkably accurate true story that we all need to see, although it will wrench your guts, get you mad, and leave you frustrated. Dallaire and his troops are true heroes for the selfless stand they took, knowing the costs would be possibly everything, and the only rewards would be for those nameless faces an ocean away. If you're Canadian, Belgian, Dutch, or Ghanian, be proud. If you're American, French, British, or Bangladeshi, be ashamed. And know that today the exact same situation is unfolding in Sudan, except that instead of Clinton hoping the world wont notice and pleading ignorance when they do, it's a new crew. Why? Dallaire maintains he could have easily prevented 800,000 deaths and yet the UN ordered him to let the killings proceed. Why? Hotel Rwanda and Beyond Borders are similarly great but frustrating movies.Banditpaterson 05:43, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
