Strikebreaking wording...

[edit]

The "strikebreaking" wording seems "point-of-view-ish" to me... anyone else think that, or is it just me?--Paul McDonald (talk) 13:08, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand why you think it "point-of-view-ish". There is a current labor dispute between management (the NFL) and a labor union (the NFL Referee Association). While the regular employees (the regular referees) are being locked out, management (the league) has hired strikebreakers (replacement referees like Eastin) to work in their place despite this ongoing labor dispute. Why is that a problem? I can cite more articles where other writers lamented how she broke this gender barrier after "crossing the picket line" – while those such as Sarah Thomas chose to support those in the union instead.
