[edit]The article contains way too much trivia that is irrelevant to the subject of the article Shivaji in popular culture. For example in the films crediting the painter is ridiculous. The film content should be limited to director and the actor portraying Shivaji (with perhaps additional cast noted in a notes section if they won major award for their work in the production.) -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 15:49, 26 November 2012 (UTC)
- I am an idiot and read a persons name as a role. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 15:52, 26 November 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, you misread the name, but you are correct in that there is some bloat in this article that obscures the important facts. The sheer number of non-WP:Notable names included distracts the reader's attention from the key actors, for whom we have well-developed articles. Camal is doing a good job overall on sourcing, which helps meet Notability for the films themselves, but having just too many names with so few links is making the list unwieldy. The concept is good, but the execution is still about 60% good and needs some polishing, but that's what we have this Talk page to discuss. Camal, are you reading this Talk page yet? What would you say to trying to be a bit more selective about which actors' names are truly significant for a broad understanding of the film history, and also to finding a way to make the organisation a little clearer for readers?
