In reference to copyright issues, some of the biography largely resembles the subject's web page because it is a near-minimal statement of the facts. In any case the source is cited. If necessary the copyright holder can donate the text.Starry Gordon (talk) 03:41, 7 February 2010 (UTC) Further note: I have rewritten the material which may have seemed to raise copyright issues.Starry Gordon (talk) 19:03, 7 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have further revised the article. I'm afraid that the US law that governs Wikipedia grants copyright protection to material of very minimal creativity. In order to use the material as it was, we would need a donation from the copyright holder. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission or Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the process. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:54, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I believe the subject should be referred to as Latvian-American, since she lives and works in the United States and appears to be a permanent resident thereof (may now, in fact, be a citizen). However, since I wrote Latvian-American at first and it was changed, I'll wait for an explanation before I change it back.Starry Gordon (talk) 20:52, 21 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
