One should add, that the Airport's RADAR has not been working the past 20 years. They always land on sight there... 221.218.209.151 18:15, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please, I would like someone who recently visited the airport to clarify the names and number of airlines operating at ASU. IFCM (talk) 01:30, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I find the claim that this is the only airport in South America without a direct flight to North America rather incredulous. I think someone meant to say that Paraguay is the only country without a direct flight. Pyroechidna1 (talk) 03:30, 25 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Airlines and destinations

[edit]

Most of the airlines mentioned are currently not flying to or from ASU and most of them have never been flying to or from ASU. Judging from the nonsensical contents of the list it hasn't even been copied from some other airport but is pure vandalism.--170.51.44.192 (talk) 01:01, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The accident referred to: 27 August 1980: Transporte Aéreo Militar – TAM Paraguayo, a Douglas C-47B registration FAP2016 crashed on approach to Silvio Pettirossi International Airport. The aircraft was on a flight to Ayolas when an engine failed shortly after take-off and the decision was made to land back at Asunción. One person was killed[11]

Surely this should be shown as Presidente Stroessner Airport, because that was the name of the airport at the time of the accident. Stroessner was in power until 1989 Garstonboy (talk) 21:30, 15 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
