Kandahari cap

[edit]

Hello User:Black12233, I’ve seen you remove sourced content in the article, please refrain from such behavior. The Kandahari and the Sindhi cap is the same cap, it’s not a different one, it’s known as the Sindhi cap in Pakistan and as Kandahari cap in Afghanistan and Northern balochistan. The lead also mentions that it’s also known as the Sindhi cap. If you have any concerns talk about it here. Xerxes931 (talk) 11:09, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello user Xerxes931 . The Sindhi cap is a thing unique to Sindh and develped by Sindhi locals . Its a very deep and important part of Sindhi culture . Please refrain from desecrating the page again . If you want to make a separate page for your Cap than go ahead . This page is about Sindhi cap of Pakistan and not Afghanistan . Please refrain from doing such thing again . — Preceding unsigned comment added by Black12233 (talkcontribs) 12:17, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Pinging @CambridgeBayWeather, Xerxes931, and Black12233:! Hi, this page is repeatedly being renamed to "Kandahari Cap" when previously it was known and kept as the Sindhi Cap. Is there a reason why the page is being protected as the "Kandahari Cap"? I have quickly skimmed over one of the references provided by User:Xerxes931 but I can't seem to find anything that suggests that the Sindhi Cap is originally from Afghanistan? :

Not sure what exactly made you think so, nowhere it is suggested that the cap originated anywhere, it’s just the same cap worn in Afghanistan, balochistan and Sindh and known as Kandahari cap in Afghanistan and as Sindhi cap in Pakistan. My edits were not disregarding that. However yours are clearly disruptive and deleting all the sources and disregarding the fact that the cap is known as Kandahari cap in Afghanistan and worn there as well (see sources and pictures). User: CambridgeBayWeather can you have a look at this ?

@Xerxes931: To be clear I haven't removed any sources, I have only added references and renamed the page to how it was. I think it might be better to create a separate article about the Kandahari cap in Afghanistan based on your sources as though they might seem similar they are not considered the same thing, unless I have missed that somewhere, and even if they were considered the same thing, it was definitely disruptive to change the entire article to base it around the Kandahari cap, disregarding the Sindhi Topi. P.s. please use the template {{ping|USERNAME}} to alert a user. :

@Taimoorahmed11: I know how to ping users, thanks. I didn’t disregard any source, if anything it was you and your friends who did, I didn’t remove or disregard anything about the Sindhi cap and it clearly had it mentioned in the article multiple times that it’s known as the Sindhi cap in Pakistan, currently however the article does not mention Afghanistan or the cap being named Kandahari cap there in any way, that alone speaks enough for who was disregarding content and sources. Anyways, there a few refinements to be done on this article and after that it’s indeed better to have an article for the Kandahari cap itself. Xerxes931 (talk) 13:03, 10 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Xerxes931: The page doesn't currently talk about the Kandahari cap because your edits were disputed and essentially reverted by another user, I am merely attempting to resolve this dispute. I was only able to skim through one of the references which you provided but it does not mention the Sindhi cap being similar or related to ths Kandahari cap, but does recognise Kandahari cap's existence, hence my suggestion to create a separate article. As always, you're more than welcome to make any edits on the page, thank you. :

Name changes (again)

Pinging: @Xerxes1985, Dudebro777, Foxhound03, SajidMir2, and SharqHabib: Hi all. Disputes have risen again and edit warring is taking place. Is there a reason why the page has been moved again, since last time? :
>> Taimoor Ahmed(Send a Message?) 22:02, 19 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure what the issue of the editors is, I have create a separate page for the Kandahari Cap as this was our solution. Now they are trying to remove the hatnote mentioning the Kandahari Cap for whatever reason. I have nothing to do with the page being moved to whatever kind of random name this is.--Xerxes1985 (talk) 22:12, 19 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Xerxes1985: Yeah I'm not sure why @Dudebro777: is removing the hatnote but I don't agree with it. @SharqHabib: is the user who renamed the article I believe, but again I'm not sure why. If they don't reply, I think I'll move the page back to Sindhi cap, and if this continues an Admin should probably be brought in.:
