It has been located as modern Tell Abu Habbah near Baghdad.

Highlighting the Epic of Gilgamesh Sippar tablet?

I think this article should highlight one of the most famous cuneiform tablets discovered there, namely the "Sippar tablet" from the Epic of Gilgamesh. Now respectable though the history section, while the facts and sources are now there, could use a bit of work by someone with better writing skills. For the record I could find no proper source for "Zimbir". It was used by a couple century+ old papers without support and a few other people since followed that on faith. I'm not saying that Sippar isn't Zimbir, I'm saying I could find no proof of that.Ploversegg (talk) 03:04, 9 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
