Re: restoration of dab page
[edit]There seems to me little point in this. These entries are, at present, listed on three different disambiguation pages. If an article on another WW, 1st Baronet, 2nd Baronet or SirWW was created, people would have to realise that they needed to add them to 3 different dabs, or you end up with a dab which seems to be complete, but is missing a vital entry. By redirecting this to Sir William Williams, they were still on 2 dabs (so there was still potential for confusion/omission) but as it is a short dab, these were not at all lost within the entries, so it would not take a user a long time to find them. - The point is to ensure accurate disambiguation of a highly ambiguous set of people, with similar names titles and positions. There are several different ways of approaching these names, which took a huge amount of work to disambiguate. Burying them in wider disambiguation pages obsures the complex ambiguity at play here. What purpose is served by removing his dab page?
- BTW, please note that I raised this issue on your talk page, at User_talk:Boleyn#Speedy_deletion_of_dab_pages, where my comment has not been acknowledged. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 16:43, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
