Location

[edit]

5500 Slauson Avenue refers to a number of locations. There is both an East and West Slauson, as well has a 5550 Slauson in nearby Commerce, CA (which closer to the city of Maywood than either Los Angeles location). Does anyone have more information on the exact location?--Jkfp2004 (talk) 03:48, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

5500 Slauson in Commerce is the correct location. My family lived in Boyle Heights during WWII, and a relative who was a student at Roosevelt High School at the time of the murders told me that the boys who were in the military at the time were jealous of the zoot suiters, who had jobs and money, and were a big hit with the local girls ;^) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.1.214.5 (talk) 20:32, 19 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Drop the PC nonsense

[edit]

"With the internment of Japanese Americans, racial paranoia in California turned to the Mexican American community and, spurred by the media..." LOL? Who writes this stuff? The link in the footnote is some guy's web page; that's not credible. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.126.253.3 (talk) 06:08, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
