trans fats

[edit]

some animal fats contain a variety of trans fats naturally. i am not sure that any vegetable oils naturally contain any trans fats, so im not sure where the trans fats come from in this product, as they are not hydrogenated. fixed up some language. i really dont like when anyone, company or others, talks about "cholesterol free" when there is and never was an animal component to the food in question, including competing products. no animal, no cholesterol, EVER. its like saying your bottled water is sugar fat or gluten free. no water ever had these in them. silly.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 06:03, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

checked the link to the company sponsored site. found there a statement about low levels of naturally occurring trans fats in some vegetable oils. Thats good enough for me. took out the "controversial" tone to this article. storm in a teacup.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 06:13, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Some of their products contain animal fats. And yes, vegetable oils also have small amounts of naturally occurring trans fats. This company just don't add trans fats intentionally (i.e. "partially hydrogenated oil" is not an ingredient in their products). But in keeping with the spirit of the company's claim that other companies' legal right to call less than 0.5 g of trans fat per serving products "0 g trans fats" is misleading, they need to quantify how much measurable trans fat is in their products, even if it is not added intentionally, and even if it is negligible, and we should be listing it here as a counterpoint to their claims. They can't have it both ways, and neither should this article. Njsustain (talk) 16:53, 24 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

How do I combine this with the Bould Brand article I started? That is the company's new name. Candleabracadabra (talk) 16:20, 2 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
