Is Sooke considered a part of Greater Victoria? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.66.66.110 (talk) 06:24, 3 August 2005 (UTC) (I couldn't find a definition for Greater Victoria. Does it exist legally or is it simply a markting slogan?) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.108.72.192 (talk) 14:52, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sooke is not considered to be part of Greater Victoria - is a seperate town unto itself - it is considered part of the Capital Regional District(CRD) thus some services are administered is Sooke are administered by the same bodies as Victoria. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.81.139.159 (talk) 06:04, 1 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sooke is 25 kilometers from Victoria, a 45 minute drive on Sooke road, which also passes thru Colwood and Langford, BC. 24.68.69.28 (talk) 02:49, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi all,

I was told to post here about re-instating a deleted link to my blog, 642Blog.ca. It's been linked in the external links for months, but today somebody informed me that I have a conflict of interest and deleted it. The blog is a community and real estate blog, but I do not use it for advertising - it is strictly informational and would be of value for those seeking information on Sooke and about what is going on currently in town. I urge you to take a look, and allow me to add it back in.

Many thanks. Tim.

I had a look at that blog, and that is exactly what it is. Sources are suposed to be from reliable, third part publications. While the info on your blog might be 100% accurate, it is still just a blog. Masterhatch (talk) 18:14, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sooke, British ColumbiaSooke – Canadian disambiguation practices call for unique town names to be without disambiguation; Sooke already redirects here. A hatnote for Sooke (disambiguation) will address the old name of the T'sou-ke Nation/T'souke people who now style themselves that way (to distinguish from the town name, which is only an adaptation and not their pronunciation),formerly the Sooke First Nation or Sooke Indian Band.
