Germans living in these areas were resettled, retaining almost all their belongings

[edit]

Seriously? Germans in the areas east of the Oder-Neisse line were ethnically cleansed. They were expelled and robbed several times along the way of the few items they were allowed to take with them and allowed to contract awful diseases due to being herded together. Loads died as a result. I guess no-one cared that much because of what was done in their name during the Third Reich but don't pretend they were resettled and didn't have to give up all they owned. Those that survived the expulsion arrived in the west totally destitute. How is anyone allowed to pretend otherwise? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Frew.gerry (talkcontribs) 17:48, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
