Endeavour first flight 49 but Challenger last flight 51?

[edit]

If Endeavour replaced Challenger why did it fly before Challenger disintergrated?- see the two articles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sean McHugh (talkcontribs) 07:55, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Plump Engineering

[edit]

Someone named "Plumpgroup" posted this as part of the introduction:

Plump Engineering, Inc. of Anaheim Calif, was chosen to investigate the impact on underground utilities for the safe transportation of the Space Shuttle Endeavour's move from LAX to the California Science Center Exposition Park. The journey took two days to make the 12 mile journey through the streets of Los Angeles. Plump Engineering
Plump Engineers performed all the load analysis of the roadways and bridges, analyzed the subterranean utilities and planned the route of travel to minimize structural impact to roadways, infrastructure and utilities. In conjunction with Encon, Plump Engineering, Inc. directed the placement of nearly 3000 steel traffic plates, the removal and replacement of road barriers and other impediments. Plump's control van lead the shuttle down it's route ensuring the path of travel was protected and Los Angeles utilities were intact. Plump Engineering

Especially considering this person's username, it seems like this is meant to advertise the company, since I don't think half this article's introduction needs to be about it. However, I think at least some of this information is correct, so I was wondering if it should be placed somewhere else in the article, or if it is just unnecessary. Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Endeavour silhouette STS-130.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on December 26, 2013. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2013-12-26. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page.
