I created this article starting from this German wikipedia article and expanding using the references shown. Afterwards I found a reserve-source here which looks like a summary from Lehmann's book:

Stephenson, Charles; Palmer, Ian. 2004. Zeppelins: German Airships 1900-40, page 46. Osprey Publishing. ISBN 1841766925.

It supports the text currently cited by either Lehmann or Varese2002. There is evidently quite a lot more information on these devices out there, so it would be interesting to see this expand. I will self-assess it as Start (or strong stub if you like):

B-Class-2 = no because it needs more details on internal fittings and on the American and British examples
B-Class-5 = no because an image would be nice, the one from Lehmann's book looks under copyright
