You may be wondering why we use the abbreviation PSI and not SPI. The explanation is the link with the greek letter Ψ 'psi', which is commonly used in mathematical and statistical formulae. Another explanation is that with "PSI" the S is in between the P and the I, so literally "Statisticians" in the "Pharmaceutical Industry"! Mrkjones 14:12, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
