autism

[edit]

i do not feel it is appropriate to have it mention someone is autistic in the section dealing with their death. That has some strange and disturbuing implications. If this person was openly autistic please move it to a 'personal life' section or something of that nature. If not please just remove it entirely. 69.53.119.37 (talk) 22:10, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. That sentence has now been moved out of the section about his death. Nurg (talk) 22:23, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! 69.53.119.37 (talk) 01:15, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Photos of Alloxysta thorpei, Kaurimyia thorpei, Scorpiurus thorpei, Sierola thorpei, Zelostemma thorpei

  • Adding IDs for any identifiable observations by Thorpe for any species that lack photos in WikiCommons. --Prosperosity (talk) 00:18, 29 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
To avoid duplication, I reached out to the authors who described the 5 species listed above. The author who published Sierola thorpei uploaded two photos. Unfortunately, the authors who described Alloxysta thorpei and Zelostemma thorpei do not have spare images in their possession to upload. OhanaUnitedTalk page 02:49, 17 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@OhanaUnited: That's wonderful, thank you! Did Peter Buhl happen to have a copy of his own article? If he's able to upload it to his ResearchGate profile or somewhere similar, that would be very helpful. --Prosperosity (talk) 05:55, 17 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have reached out to Peter Buhl. OhanaUnitedTalk page 13:19, 17 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Prosperosity Peter Buhl provided the PDF to me. I am providing a copy of the article temporarily here. Please let me know once you downloaded it and I will remove the file. He also said that the species material is now in NZAC, Auckland. OhanaUnitedTalk page 03:24, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much! I've downloaded a copy. Prosperosity (talk) 21:29, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
