– Of all the people listed at Stephen Anderson, I very much doubt this one is the most important DanceHallCrasher (talk) 17:03, 13 September 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose – "Steven" and "Stephen" are not the same name. A hatnote should solve any confusion between the two names. Let's be WP:NATURAL. CookieMonster755 𝚨-𝛀 02:46, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
- Stephen Anderson contains people called Stephen, Steven and Steve. You can split them into three separate groups if you like, and this person still would not be the most important Steven.DanceHallCrasher (talk) 06:52, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose. The only other person here known as Steven Anderson is a pastor who doesn't even have his own article, just a redirect. Everyone else is called Stephen or known as Steve. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:55, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
- @Necrothesp: I'm not sure that's true. Some of those Stephen (middle initial) Andersons (e.g. Stephen J. Anderson for example) seem also to sometimes go by "Stephen Anderson" in some sources. Is that not true of Steven too? I'm getting (ugly) hits for Steven Anderson (pastor), the hate preacher who prayed for the death of Obama. In ictu oculi (talk) 17:48, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
- But there are no other people on Wikipedia called "Steven"! Except the pastor, who doesn't even have his own article and can be dealt with by a hatnote. They're all either "Stephen" or go by the name "Steve". That's my point. -- Necrothesp (talk) 07:39, 15 September 2016 (UTC)
- Support first move, oppose second @CookieMonster755: the Steven Anderson (pastor) BLP has been redirected to his one-man church, fair enough, but in Google Books he's the (repulsive) most common hit. In ictu oculi (talk) 17:54, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
- I see now that my second move is actually unnecessary. My intent was to have Steven Anderson come up with the long list of people, which can easily be achieved without moving the Stephen Anderson page.DanceHallCrasher (talk) 19:05, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
