Renaming the article
[edit]It seems that the building is now being called "Strata SE1" (SE1 being the first part of its postcode). It may be worth renaming the article to reflect this? --Zefrog (talk) 16:48, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Wind turbines incorporated
[edit]I'm rather confused by the sources that state this is the first building to have wind turbines incorporated into its design. I was in Bahrain two years ago and the Bahrain World Trade Center also includes wind turbines - and that predates Strata considerably. How do we deal with this? Tim (Xevious) (talk) 18:07, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
The idea (I think) is that the turbines in the Bahrain building are not part of the structure of the building itself but are effectively attached between two buildings. --79.173.160.170 (talk) 11:01, 23 January 2012 (UTC)
According to local news reports the turbines are hardly ever turning, and when they are they cause excessive noise and vibration in the upper apartments. For this reason they are not allowed to turn at night. Residents also complain about the heat and water supply. Seems to be a costly folly. Who would have thought it?86.183.202.156 (talk) 17:08, 2 August 2013 (UTC)

NPOV dispute Sustainability
[edit]I have added an NPOV tag to the sustainability section of this article as I thin the claim are spurious. The sources appear just to repeat the developers claims. As a Civil Engineer the claims seem dubious at best, and the incorporated wind turbines are a clear folly as cannot turn into the wind seriously limiting their performance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.169.66.156 (talk) 15:07, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
- The wind turbines certainly don't operate but we need a source for this. Secretlondon (talk) 14:53, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
- I can't find anything very solid for this, but have added a few to support the claim of the turbines "rarely" being used. --Lord Belbury (talk) 09:07, 23 March 2018 (UTC)
I've cut the unsourced and ancient "Questions about their real efficiency will remain unanswered until the completion of two years of comprehensive wind data analysis." as seeming a little silly if they've hardly ever been used, but if this analysis exists it'd be good to see it. --Lord Belbury (talk) 09:28, 23 March 2018 (UTC)
