Work in Progress

[edit]

This article will be a work in progress for a while. I am working on gathering additional sources and will be going more in depth in the variables section as more theory is added as well. I also hope to add other typical applications.

Additional postings on variables and other applications are more than welcome here as I hope to build on this small base established.

Additional clarification has been added in the variables section regarding redistribution and pressure drop. I have also cited the reason for the degree of recovery that is often required and provided a link to the US EPA website. Hazzimoto (talk) 02:08, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Desorption

[edit]

As stripping can also be referred to as desorption, how should this be approached? My thought was that I would include desorption in a "see also" section since the current desorption article is not as specific to chemistry and separation processes as I envision this article to be. Hazzimoto (talk) 19:48, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Update- I have added a small section to the desorption article that relates it to this one. Hazzimoto (talk) 01:34, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

It would be nice to be able to find this article by having links in other articles that lead to this one. I think someone should go through other articles with similar topics and add to the see also section or add a few sentences to the article with a link to this article. I added a link from the redirected page when "stripping" is typed in the search bar. I have also added a few categories that easily apply. Hazzimoto (talk) 01:24, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I added this article to the Chemical and Bio Engineering project. That should be a good start. My apologies for linking it to the article incorrectly. I do believe this is the right spot now. Hazzimoto (talk) 02:28, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RfC: More Depth

[edit]

This article deserves more practical applications and uses considering its prevalence.Hazzimoto (talk) 02:41, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see any controversy in adding more content in that realm. Why is this an RfC? DMacks (talk) 23:02, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. My apologies.--Hazzimoto (talk) 04:09, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
